Julie is an educator and writer who believes that stories have the power to inform, educate, inspire, and connect. Her goal is to work towards meaningful, sustainable, socially-just change to improve the educational experiences and lives for all. As a former math major with a heart for creative writing and poetry, she is excited to share with others her love for exploring the unknown, igniting curiosity, and empowering others to share their unique perspectives. 

She is currently the Assistant Director for Academic Advising in the Network for the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University. She has a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics (with minors in English and Education) from the University of Washington. She is also a 200-hour registered yoga teacher. In her free time, she loves snowboarding, backpacking, hiking, climbing, practicing yoga, writing/poetry, and exploring new places through food.
