Contest Rules + Terms:

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Contest begins October 1, 2026, at 12:00 AM PST and ends October 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM PST. Void where prohibited by law. Sponsored by Seattle Universal Math Museum (SUMM).

Eligibility: Open to legal residents of the United States. Entrants under 18 years of age must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to enter. Employees, board members, volunteer judges, and their immediate family members of SUMM are not eligible to win.

How to Enter + Submissions: Entries can be submitted via email to info@seattlemathmuseum.org or brought in person to the Seattle Universal Math Museum at 437 Ramsay Way, Suite 102, Kent, WA 98032 during open hours (Fri 4–7 PM, Sat 1–7 PM, Sun 1–4 PM). Limit one entry per person. Entry must include name, age, and valid email. Physical mail submissions are not accepted; in-person submissions must be dropped off during open hours.

Judging + Selection: Entries will be judged on Sunday, November 1, 2026, by a panel of 2 to 4 staff members and/or volunteers based on overall creativity, skill, and visual execution.

Prizes + Delivery: Winner(s) will be awarded a gift certificate to SUMM Studio via email (approximate retail value $20, valid for 2 SUMM Studio classes). Prizes will be emailed directly to the winner using the email address provided at entry; no response or claim action is required to receive the prize. Prizes are non-transferable, and no cash alternative or substitution is permitted. Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes.

Publicity Release + Usage: By entering this contest, participants grant the Sponsor permission to display, post, and share submitted artwork, both physically at our museum location and on its digital platforms, social media, and promotional materials, accompanied by the entrant’s first name.

Limitation of Liability + General Terms: By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless SUMM and its officers, staff, and volunteers from any liability, injury, loss, or damage resulting from participation or prize acceptance. SUMM is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected submissions. SUMM reserves the right to modify or cancel the contest if necessary.
