Temperature measurements can be negative numbers, just like elevation. According to the National Weather Service, the temperature in Seattle got as low as 23 degrees Fahrenheit on December 22, 2022, which was equivalent to -5 degrees Celsius!

States like Montana and Wyoming are experiencing even colder temperatures this week. Their temperatures read “below zero” - in Celsius and Fahrenheit!
