Pythagorean Palooza

  • SUMM @ Kent Station 437 Ramsay Way Kent, Washington, 98032 United States (map)

Come join us at the Seattle Universal Math Museum and celebrate the magic of right triangles on the last Pythagorean triple date of the century!
A Pythagorean triple is a set of three integers that satisfies the Pythagorean theorem: a² + b² = c². On 10/24/26, the date itself forms a Pythagorean triple: 10² + 24² = 26². And the next time this happens will be in the next century on March 4, 2105 (3/4/5).
Come celebrate this special mathematical event with right-triangle-themed exhibits and activities. Explore, experiment, solve puzzles, and discover the surprising ways right triangles show up in mathematics and the world around us.
Free to attend and fun for all ages! This is a drop-in event. No registration required.
