Beginner Origami @ SUMM

Join us for Beginner Origami @ SUMM, designed for families with children, ages 7+, or individual adults! Led by origami expert Rona Gurkewitz, this five-session course blends art and mathematics, offering a hands-on approach to geometry, spatial reasoning, and problem-solving. All materials are provided, and each session includes models to fold and take home.

Session 2 Focus:

Students will learn to make a simple 16-pointed modular star and star ornaments. Basic origami skills or completion of Session 1 is recommended.

Drop-in Session Pricing:

  • $35 per family, which includes parent(s)/caregiver(s) and their child(ren). Children must be accompanied by a parent/caregiver, who will be encouraged to participate as well to create a shared learning experience.

  • $20 per individual adult, age 18+
