Tanya is a multidisciplinary Scientist and Engineer with expertise in both research and product development, currently working as an Applied Scientist at Apple. During her career, Tanya has driven advancements in technologies spanning generative AI, multi-modal sensing, computer vision, geometry modeling, computational imaging and robotics.

Tanya earned her PhD from Stanford University where she combined her interests of Neuroscience, Machine Learning and Computational Geometry to better understand human brain development.

With a deep commitment and passion to math and science education, Tanya believes that mathematics is the foundation of understanding the world around us from the patterns and complexities of nature to the intricacies of technology. She is passionate about fostering curiosity and mathematical thinking in children, inspiring them to appreciate the beauty, structure, and randomness inherent to our world.

Tanya lives in Kirkland with her family and enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, camping and kayaking.
