Dr. Jenny Quinn

Incoming Executive Director

Jenny’s personal mission is to make mathematics accessible, appreciated, and humane. Actively engaging people in mathematics in the classroom and the community, Jenny believes that mathematics (better known as creative problem solving) is a golden ticket to success for anyone in any field. An award-winning teacher, author, and scholar, she earned her PhD in mathematics from the University of Wisconsin, taught mathematics for more than 30 years at the collegiate level, served as president of the Mathematical Association of America 2021-22, and is (the incoming) executive director of Seattle Universal Math Museum.

If I had to dream up a position that played to my strengths and aligned with my personal mission to make math engaging, accessible, and fun…

I don’t believe I could have imagined anything better than this.
