“For the Love of Math”, presented by SUMM

We invite you to our upcoming event, For the Love of Math! – A group exhibition of mathematically inspired art, presented by Seattle Universal Math Museum (SUMM). See details here.

Exhibition Dates: October 1 - November 24, 2021
Opening Reception: Friday, October 1st 5-8pm
Artists’ Reception: Friday, November 5th 5-8pm

Hosted by the Suzanne Zahr Gallery and curated by Timea Tihanyi, this exhibit will explore various art forms influenced by math ideas and mathematical processes of making. This curated collection will show how the vigor, beauty and pleasure of math infuses our lives, from traditional crafts to contemporary research and daily creativity.

The opening on October 1 and the Artist Reception on November 5 are part of the Mercer Island First Friday Art Walks.

We expect all guests to wear masks, and all those eligible (12 and older) to be fully vaccinated.

Refreshments will be provided outside in a tent. Masks may be removed for eating and drinking.
