Natalie Copeland

Educator and Outreach Coordinator

she/her/hers

Natalie is an educator and leader, devoted to bringing people more fully alive in creative, silly, and adventurous ways. She has worked in informal education for the last decade, spending a significant amount of time as an Educator at The Museum of Flight, and as a nature mentor and the Summer and Adult Programs Coordinator at Wilderness Awareness School. She also runs a small business devoted to reconnecting people to their sky, the dark, and nature at night, called The Sky Connection, and is working on her Masters in Cultural Astronomy.

She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre, has written, directed, and produced several science theatre plays in Seattle, has published and illustrated a book of poetry, and continues to tend to her creative spark across various other mediums. Natalie believes that math, (like science, art, and nature connection), is one of the many beautiful and exciting facets of life that enrich the experience of being human, and is excited to continue connecting these experiences with SUMM.
