Math Path to New Adventures

Do you want to learn about how math can open doors to interesting careers? Want to know what a software engineer does every day? Or why math is important in business? How about what it's like to teach students in the most prestigious university in Washington? Ever wonder about how math would be used for interstellar travel?

Seattle Universal Math Museum (SUMM) invites you to discover your journey with math at SUMM's Math Path to New Adventures event. Please join us for this free in-person event on March 29 to learn from professionals of different backgrounds how math helped them find their passion and their career path.

This event is presented to you in collaboration with the University of Washington – Foster School of Business 

 

Event Details

Who: Middle School Students in the Greater Seattle Area

When: Tuesday, March 29th from 6-8 pm

Where: Othello-UW Commons, 4200 S. Othello St., Suite 117, Seattle, WA 98118

We will have several professionals give short presentations about how math influences their careers. Questions are welcome and encouraged. Plus there will be an opportunity to interact and connect with all speakers.

Refreshments and light snacks will be provided.

Masks are strongly recommended to keep everyone safe.
