Julien is a big fan of math. He recently graduated from the University of Washington with a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.S. in Economics in June 2024. When he was younger, he and his family played lots of board games. Those competitions and family bonding moments led to him gaining an appreciation of math behind those games and how math could be used to help create connections with others. Julien’s goal is to go to graduate school and study game theory and get the chance to study various games and what the best strategies are to winning them. He hopes to show everyone that math can be both fun and an opportunity to create bonds and communities, especially through games.

Julien was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. Outside of work, Julien enjoys spending his time playing dungeons and dragons, playing video games or board games with friends and family, reading, drawing, and going for runs.
