Mandy Walker-LaFollette

Mandy is a STEM educator passionate about developing and delivering exciting, hands-on programming. She has a B.S. in Astronomy and Physics from the University of Arizona where she was involved in astronomy research and education, and received an M.S. in Science Education from Oregon State University. Before working at SUMM, Mandy was an educator with the Museum of Flight and has worked with camps and exhibit evaluation at the Pacific Science Center. She is excited to bring her educational experience to SUMM.

Outside of SUMM, Mandy serves on the board of the Zimbabwean Music Festival, and enjoys learning, playing, and teaching music from Africa and beyond. She lives in Seattle with her husband and three cats, and enjoys gardening, woodworking, and crafting in her spare time.
