Suzi has 25 years of experience in STEM/STEAM education, encompassing roles in formal classroom settings, individual tutoring, and informal learning environments. She possesses 8 years of experience in all aspects of educational exhibit development and design, which includes planning, concepting, wayfinding, content creation, and more. Her firm, suzituckerdesign.com, has developed multiple science-focused interactive educational websites.

Drawing on her background as a theatrical scenic designer, Suzi excels in utilizing space and creating environments that enhance storytelling, a crucial component of immersive museum experiences. She also frequently works as a props artisan at Seattle Children’s Theatre. Her expertise in this area contributes significantly to the prototyping of new exhibit ideas. As an artist, Suzi is passionate about integrating the Arts into STEAM education to broaden its appeal to diverse audiences.

As a Professor of Chemistry at the University of California, Davis, Suzi received the Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Award and a Campus-wide Teaching Award. She holds a PhD in theoretical and computational chemistry from the University of Minnesota and a BS majoring in Design from the University of California at Davis.
